About Donna M Henningson

Donna M Henningson is a high school teacher on a writing break, a vocal ensemble alto, and a former dragon boat coach.

Like everyone, she has had her fair share of working through conflicts in different environments; she taught high school English in China as COVID-19 hit.

Before teaching overseas, she worked with non-profit groups, and also was a full-time community print journalist.

She has an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Gonzaga University, and a journalism certificate from the Langara campus in Vancouver.

She lives in Summerland, British Columbia, on the unceded traditional territory of Okanagan Nation Syilx people, for which she is grateful. (Shown is an author photo of Skaha Lake.)
